The Lord has opened the door for the next in-person Symposium scheduled in August 2023 at Zion Community Center in Seeta Nazigo, Uganda. Praise God that the teaching of His Word and the discipleship opportunity has once again become available.

Mark Cooper will be traveling to Uganda, August 5-13 to visit our ministry partners, teach a Bible Study Technique workshop, and teach the Gospel of Mark during the three-day Symposium (August 10-12). Here are the events scheduled for this visit.

Monday, August 7: Grace Community Preschool
Monday, August 7: Seya Light School and Church
Tuesday, August 8: Volunteer Heart Community for Girl Child Concern
Wednesday, August 9: Bible Study Techniques Workshop taught by Mark Cooper
Thursday - Saturday, August 10-12: Symposium - Gospel of Mark taught by Mark Cooper
Sunday, August 13: Service at Zion Community Center

The Bible Study Techniques Workshop will be attended by twelve (12) selected pastors from both Uganda and Kenya who have the passion and desire to use the Symposium workbooks in their local villages (or beyond) to teach the Word of God. The training will use the book of Malachi as the study text. At the end of the workshop the participants will have knowledge to observe what the scriptures say, interpret the meaning, and apply it to daily life. In addition, each participant will receive an Inductive Study Bible as a valuable resource.

At the Symposium Mark Cooper will teach through the Gospel of Mark highlighting the confessions documented that Jesus is the Son of God, along with the lessons Jesus taught, and miracles Jesus performed. Two hundred people are projected to attend this Symposium. Each participant will receive a copy of the Gospel of Mark workbook (Mark Cooper developed) that is translated into the local Lugandan language. To ensure the Word of God is fully understood, for those participants who do not have a Bible, one will be provided in Lugandan. One hundred Bibles will be available for distribution.

Your prayers and support are needed and necessary to make this a successful trip and that the Word of God continues to expand, and disciples of Jesus Christ, The Son of God are developed throughout East Africa.

Symposiums: Teaching the Bible
Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Ethiopia

Making Disciples in Remote Villages of Africa!
In 2022, hundreds of East Africans attended followship Symposiums studying the Word of God. Our partner pastors David Musoke and Maurice Adun facilitated these Symposiums in multiple locations throughout Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Ethiopia. Your support will enable us to provide each participant their own workbook for future study and a tool for teaching in their local church and community in 2023.

Our desire is for each of our partner pastors to hold four Symposiums. Each Symposium requires $1000 USD to cover workbook printing and travel expenses.

The areas where this teaching will occur are remote villages where Biblical resources and training are nonexistent. Your donation will go towards facilitating the message of God's Word reaching these people. A $10 donation provides one person a workbook of a book of the Bible for them to study and then to go teach expanding the truth further into remote African areas. Be part of this expansion:

2022 Symposium highlights:
Pastor David:
  • Symposiums were held in 5 locations in Uganda
  • Taught 2 Books of the Bible: Galatians and James
  • 153 attendees received certificate of completion
Pastor Maurice:
  • Symposiums in 18 locations in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania
  • Over 1000 people were taught the book of 1 John
  • Total workbooks provided = 750

"We are blessed having such material as the jBM workbooks and the training has equipped us with full knowledge and revelation. I have grasped the vision and passion of helping the rural pastors with training now available through jBM."
"The challenge are the many districts in different regions. I have set a target to teach 1000 jBM students the right doctrine using the jBM workbooks."
         Pastor Ledrick Richard Balikalaba
